We believe it is the best State Minimum required driving program in Texas but still recommend more hours of in-car training for your young driver.

7 hours minimum required by State. New National Standards recommend a minimum of 10 driving hours for all teens. SafeWay recommends more hours and suggests you review our SafeWay Advanced PLUS Driving Program where a young driver gets 27 hours of professional training behind the wheel, allowing them to experience 20 different driving environments on 10 unique driving tracks. The purpose is to save lives by preparing young drivers with all the vital skill sets while building their confidence behind the wheel.

Most teenage incidents occur at intersections, on freeways and in parking lots. Every young driver needs extra coaching in these areas beyond what the State Minimum program provides.

New National Standards suggest a minimum of 10 Hours driving.

Held for all VIP drivers and their families in the garage bays of a leading auto dealership to teach automotive safety basics such as changing a tire, jumping a battery, what to do in an emergency and how to maintain your car.

SafeWay’s exclusive “No-Wreck” guarantee is the only one of its kind in the driver training industry. If your teen successfully completes our S.A.F.E. certification and is at fault in an accident within one year of graduation, SafeWay will pay the deductible on the car they were driving. *Some restrictions apply.

The total number of hours the teen will drive in each package.

Includes everything necessary to complete the program including online or classroom curriculum, driving instruction, car, insurance, and much more. Extra lessons for those in the State Minimum or SafeWay Basic packages ARE NOT included. Late fees and No-Show fees are not included in ANY package.

Different teens learn at different rates. SafeWay WILL NOT pass any student that in our professional opinion is not prepared to drive safely. When required, Extra Lessons will be provided in two hours segments, including one hour of driving and one hour of observation. The cost is $100 per two hour lesson.

For those with busy schedules, a SafeWay certified and licensed instructor will pick-up and drop-off your teen at your school or home location. This service is priced less than the cost of a taxi for the same service and is only available for the entire package.

Advanced PLUS fulfills ALL of the Texas “Less Tears...More Years™” ACT required 20 hour parent log prior to your teen receiving their driver license. If your teen graduates our Advanced PLUS Program and earns our “S.A.F.E” Driver Certification and is at fault in an incident within one year of graduation, SafeWay will pay the deductible on the car they were driving. *Some restrictions apply.
